Really big day today folks, BBQ cookoff, off road car show, carnival and a lot of good music. Weather is beautiful and we encourage you to come down to the Lake Charles Civic Center for some great family fun. Arm bands are $30 and good all day from noon till close. Lake Charles, we are proud to have done our part to help rebuild and get back to normal after all these storms. We thank you and hope you and your family will come enjoy a beautiful day with us.

It's always a noisy time when the pirates come to Lake Charles. Yes on Friday April 29th, the buccaneers will be landing in grandiose style. A many of boats they are and they will be on the lake Friday evening and will docking at the Lake Charles Civic Center around 7pm. Louisiana Pirate Festival is proud to announce the arrival of Gymfit's Mobile Adventures and it is amazingly fun for kids. A first to any Lake Charles event, these folks will put your kids through a challenge course totally designed for them. One of the coolest sites to be seen in Lake Charles during the festival is the Armstrong Shows carnival rides at night. Bright dazzling lights that literally light up the entire festival and when you get to the very top of the Ferris Wheel; well you just have to come experience it yourself.
